Jordan Taylor took the wheel of the brand new ZB Commodore at Queensland Raceway today, as part of the Triple Eight squad’s evaluation day.
The IMSA star completed several laps in the car, while T8 mechanic and Super2 regular Kurt Kostecki also spent a significant amount of time in the car.
While both regular Red Bull drivers were on hand, neither were able to drive the car as per the evaluation day regulations.
Taylor was a special guest at the Newcastle 500 last November, as part of a push to up his involvement in Supercars and potentially look for an enduro drive.
However there’s no chance of a spot in the Red Bull HRT set-up for the long-distance races this year, with Earl Bamber already confirmed alongside Shane van Gisbergen and Paul Dumbrell alongside Jamie Whincup.
