New Zealand will be dealing with its anguish over last week’s terrorist attack at two Christchurch mosques for many years to come.

The messages left for the victims of the shootings from their countrymen were simple but powerful — filled with despair, solidarity and a strong defiance of the hatred that fuelled the attack.
